Summer glau

Firefly is Whedon s next huge hit television series. She must have left an indelible impression because this one episode led to her being a celebrity. Summer Glau played River Tam without difficulty. Glau was an excellent actor. Tam has to take part in experiments sponsored by the government to prepare her to be the ultimate assassin. As a result, the capability of Tam to regulate her emotions was taken away from her. Glau demonstrated her fighting abilities as well as acting skills in Firefly. It was also evident that training to become an assassin gave Glau to make the most of her athletic ability. Summer Glau was classically-trained as ballerina. Her broken toe marked the final straw for her as an actress. Firefly was only a single season, but gained an enthusiastic audience. So passionate that Whedon came back to the show a couple of years later. Summer Glau was still getting quality work in the interim.
