
Kate Hudson has an acting talent. She is most well-known for her portrayal of Penny Lane from the Hollywood movie Almost Famous. Her nomination for the Academy Award was her best-known role. Her birthplace was a clan of movie stars and seemed to have a natural talent to be in the spotlight. Her mother, Goldie Hawn, is well-known for her film acting, and her father, Bill Hudson, is comedian. From an early age she was an avid performer and would seize every opportunity to perform on the stage. When she was a kid her parents taught her dance classes and she studied at the Santa Monica Playhouse. Her first acting experience came in 1996 when she was offered a role in the TV drama Party of Five. She was accepted into New York University, but Kate Hudson was more interested in getting into show business, rather than obtaining the degree. After a few minor roles in films, she was offered the role that would prove to be the most memorable role in her professional career. She was chosen to play Penny Lane in the comedy-drama film Almost Famous. The film didn't do very well at the box office however, it did receive positive review from critics. It established Kate as an actor within the American film industry.
