
Carrie-Anne Moss (born August 21 1967 [121st, 1967 [1) is a Canadian actress from Canada. Following her first appearance on television, she rose to international fame for her part in the role of Trinity in The Matrix series (1999-present). Memento (2000) won her the Independent Spirit Award for Best Supporting Male, Red Planet (2000), Chocolat (2000) and Fido (2006). Snow Cake (2006) earned her the Genie Award as Best Performance by an Actress In a Supporting Role. Moss also played Jeri Hogarth in various TV shows produced by Marvel Television for Netflix, including Jessica Jones (2015-2019). Moss, who was living in Spain at the time, was given the role of Tara Marshall who served as the clerk to Judge Nicholas Marshall, in Dark Justice. It was her first appearance on television. In 1992, she relocated with the show from Barcelona to Los Angeles. Moss was sacked from Dark Justice in the third and final season. She was replaced by Elisa Hingsohn, who played Samantha Collins. Following her return to the United States, she attended the American Academy of Dramatic Arts Pasadena. She was a model and appeared in Models Inc., a Fox primetime soap television. The show was cut in July 1995. Matrix was a produced in Canada show that was also the mainstay of the show, was cancelled in July 1995. She was a frequent guest actor in television series that included Street Justice, Baywatch and F/X: The Series. [3] She received a Gemini Award nomination for Best Guest Actress in Drama. A lot of her film roles during the decade were B movies, including Flashfire (1994), The Soft Kill (1994), Tough Guy (1994), Lethal Tender (1996), Sabotage (1996), and The Secret Life of Algernon (1997).
